Send a Prayer or Prayer Request A single line from Scripture can reset the way you pray, and 3 John 2 does exactly that. We lean into John’s personal blessing for Gaius, “that you may prosper and be in health, just as your soul prospers,” and we ask a pointed question: what if God cares about your spiritual life and your natural life at the same time? From persecution-era context to modern anxiety, we talk about why this kind of prayer still lands with power. We also tackle the tension around the word prosperity. Some people abuse it, others avoid it, but we take a Bible-first look at what “in every respect” can mean: provision, relationships, wisdom under pressure, and strength when life gets messy. We connect it to the inside-out principle, keeping the heart clean so the rest of life can realign, and we remind you that prayer is communion with God, not a long explanation meant to convince him to care. Then we share a true story from overseas ministry in the Philippines that taught us the difference between the anointing for ministry and the anointing for everyday life. It’s honest, humbling, and surprisingly hopeful, because it pushes the focus off our performance and back onto Jesus’ name and Jesus’ character. We close with Scripture and a covering prayer for protection and peace that echoes Psalm 91 themes, asking God to guard, deliver, and sustain you. If you’ve been wondering whether God wants you well, stable, and growing, press play.
