In a shutout win, The 5-Stripes put on a show that no doubt has the fan-base all-in on this season’s outlook. Many will place an asterisk next to this as they have the other matches to start the season referencing Charlotte FC’s recent lacking performance dating back to last year, but for an Atlanta side that has struggled to get the wins it was “supposed” to, this one is critical so early in the season. Whether the team can produce these results against more quality opponents, like the surging St Louis side in the West is yet to be seen, but only time will tell.
