When Nature Creatures Call

After a short hiatus, we are back!  In this heartfelt episode, we are paying tribute to the beautiful soul known as Anne Rice by telling stories of different supernatural creatures she wrote about. In Memoriam: Anne Rice

Ring out the old, ring in the new. It’s our New Queer’s Resolutions tradition!  In this minisode we end the holiday season and the year with a review of 2021.  We talk about favorite episodes, accomplishments, plans for the upcoming year, both podcast and personal, and bumps and surprises we encountered along the way. New Queer's Resolutions V

This week, we bring you your second (albeit late) dose of holiday fun by talking about Santa’s Little Helpers. That’s right, elves!  First, Cody tells the fascinating story of a real elf-like specimen (that Chris thinks looks like Watto) known as The Gnome of Girona.  Then, Chris talks about a type of house elf - known by many names - that uses hay as a brutal weapon. Next, Cody takes us to Iceland to talk about protests against road construction due to elves living on the land. Finally, Chris discusses Malaysian elves called Oran Bunian, who almost stole one young boy from his family. Drinks this week are Pear Cider (recipe below), and mini bottles of champagne.

Elf On Your Face
