Alongside milestone celebrations across classic gaming, Konami is honoring 40 years of the iconic gothic action franchise Castlevania. Debuting on the NES in 1986, Simon Belmont's quest through Dracula's castle defined a generation of side-scrolling platformers, spawning nearly thirty entries and two acclaimed Netflix animated series. In an anniversary retrospective, Konami looked back at the series' history while teasing the upcoming entry Castlevania: Belmont's Curse. Fox News' Eammonn Dignam breaks down the anniversary drop, including the original 1986 classic going free on mobile devices and steep catalog discounts across Steam and the PlayStation Store.
