President Trump’s foreign-policy plate is packed. Canada is striking back with retaliatory tariffs of up to 50% on hundreds of American goods starting September 8. Trump fired back on Truth Social, threatening to rename Lake Ontario “Lake America” and saying he doesn’t expect to be “doing much business with Ontario any longer.” Trump suggested the U.S. may have derailed negotiations at the 11th hour, telling CNN, “That sounds like me…if they don’t pay a fair amount, we won’t make a deal.” Meanwhile, the war with Iran remains stalled.
