We have a special episode of the CFIcast for you today, but while we're glad to be bringing back the show and releasing this episode in particular, unfortunately it is on a somber note. For this episode, CFIs Rick, Bruce, and Tony are joined by mountain flying legend Sparky Imeson, author of several books on mountain flying and long considered one of the foremost experts in the field. Unfortunately, Sparky was killed in the crash of his Cessna 180 Skywagon near Townsend, Montana on March 17th, 2009. We are releasing this episode on the first anniversary of his crash both to honor his memory and to remind all aviators to remain vigilant on every single flight.
