Jon produced the video and Tony wrote the script.  The guys go IN-DEPTH on how the video came to life.  Jon details the hours he spent agonizing over certain shots and how to walk the line between acknowledging the past without belaboring the point.



The guys also talk about how they were inspired by other content they have seen around sports video that helped guide them as the video came together.

S1 Ep54: Podward Notre Dame - Derek Coleman - FIM Associate Producer

Join hosts Tony Simeone and Jon Cotton of Fighting Irish Media as they take listeners on an insider tour of the projects and personalities behind Fighting Irish Media and the Notre Dame Athletics Department.



In this episode, Tony and Jon sit down with Production Assistant, Joey Mizutani on his last day of work at FIM!  Joey has recently accepted a job with Boston College as their Creative Video Producer.

The guys discuss Joey's 18 months at FIM and how he developed as a producer and editor.  They recap his work with Notre Dame hockey during their run to the national championship game in 2018 and how he was able to thrive after being thrown into the fire in his first few months with FIM!



To start the show, Jon and Tony call Joey during his second week in Boston to check on on the new job and see how he is adjusting to life back on the east coast!

This was a bittersweet episode to record.  We are fired up for Joey's new gig but will miss his contributions to FIM!
