Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note. Before the laboratories, the famous machines and the photographs of artificial lightning, Nikola Tesla was a boy beside a mountain stream, taking clocks apart, building little wheels and wondering about the sparks in his cat's fur.You don't need to follow him all the way to Paris. If you drift off somewhere between the mountains and the river, the evening has done what it came to do.· · ·Tonight: Nikola Tesla's early life, from the village of Smiljan and his family's home beside the Orthodox church to schoolrooms in Karlovac, engineering lectures in Graz, rented rooms in Prague and the telephone exchange in Budapest. We'll follow the idea of the rotating magnetic field as it slowly takes shape, then travel with him to Paris and Strasbourg, where a small motor finally turns the way he had imagined it. Along the way there are books read by homemade candlelight, mountain walks, railway journeys, workshops full of copper wire, and early mornings swimming in the Seine.· · ·If these evenings have become part of how you end the day, follow the show so the next one is there when you need it. A rating or a few words, whenever you happen to have the time, helps another tired person find their way here.Narration on this channel is AI-assisted. The research, writing, and shaping of each evening are done by hand.Sleep well, friend.· · ·sleep story · Nikola Tesla · history for sleep · bedtime story for adults · fall asleep to history · relaxing history · inventor history · sleep podcast · calming bedtime story · Tesla biography
