Have UFOs and unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) been monitoring humanity's nuclear weapons since the atomic age began? In this 50-minute investigation, Matt Tones examines eight decades of military sightings, from the 1947 UFO wave and Malmstrom missile incidents to Rendlesham Forest, Loring Air Force Base, and the Department of Energy's documented 2015 Pantex encounter. As nuclear tensions escalate in 2026 and governments prepare for major infrastructure disruptions, we examine declassified records, military testimony, and Pentagon UAP reports to ask whether a genuine pattern exists around nuclear weapons facilities—and what it might mean. What role is Australia really playing in the Pentagon’s UAP investigation network? In this episode of UFO to UAP Explained, Matt Tones follows newly released records connected to AARO’s 2025 UAP research workshop, where an institutional roster includes the words “Australian Government.” We investigate what that record actually proves, what remains unknown, and how it connects to Australia’s documented involvement in AARO’s earlier Five Eyes UAP meetings, classified information exchanges with the United States, historical RAAF UFO files and the growing international effort to standardise UAP data, archives, reporting systems and scientific analysis. The evidence does not prove an Australian official attended the 2025 workshop or reveal which agency may have been involved—but it does add another piece to the expanding documentary trail linking Australia to the United States’ evolving UAP infrastructure. The Pentagon has released PURSUE Release 06, the sixth tranche of U.S. government UAP records—and this episode investigates what is actually new. Matt Tones examines the newly surfaced 1952 Edward J. Ruppelt recording, the historic Tremonton UFO film, Project Blue Book, newly centralised military UAP videos from the Middle East and Indo-Pacific, and law-enforcement footage from Colorado. We separate genuinely new material from previously public records and examine what the evidence actually supports—not what viral headlines claim. Release 06 also contains the documentary architecture of AAWSAP, including contracts and 37 Defense Intelligence Reference Documents covering subjects such as warp drives, wormholes, antigravity, metamaterials and advanced propulsion. But most of those DIRDs were already publicly available through the DIA FOIA Reading Room. This episode investigates what changed, what remains unresolved, and why the same evidentiary problem connects UFO investigations in 1952 with AARO today: extraordinary observations are not the same as extraordinary proof. What would actually happen if humanity detected evidence of extraterrestrial intelligence—and how would we know it was real? In Episode 82 of UFO to UAP Explained, Matt Tones investigates the science behind first contact, beginning with the viral Chinese headline warning people not to “reply to aliens without authorisation.” The real story leads to the International Academy of Astronautics’ newly updated SETI post-detection protocols: independently verify extraordinary evidence, communicate confirmed findings responsibly, consult internationally and send no reply before that process takes place. We examine why AI-generated misinformation, deepfakes and instant global communication are now part of the first-contact problem, and revisit Jocelyn Bell Burnell’s 1967 discovery of pulsars as a powerful example of why unexplained evidence must be tested before it is interpreted. The investigation then moves from radio signals to the new science of technosignatures. SETI Institute researchers are proposing searches of lunar soil for microscopic engineered particles that could theoretically preserve evidence of long-dead technological civilisations, while observations of interstellar object 3I/ATLAS demonstrate what rigorous science looks like when the answer is negative: approximately 74 million initial radio detections, careful filtering, and no evidence of extraterrestrial technology. Finally, we examine Harvard astrophysicist Avi Loeb’s publicly announced UAP Science Advisory Council and the growing effort to bring instrumentation, independent verification and scientific methodology into the study of unidentified anomalous phenomena. SETI and UAP research are not the same field—but both confront one fundamental question: how do we recognise extraordinary evidence without assuming the answer first? The Pentagon has issued a new legal waiver allowing certain current and former military personnel, government employees and defence contractors with UAP-related National Defense Information to disclose protected information to authorised PURSUE representatives. In PENTAGON WAIVES UAP NDAs: What the New PURSUE Disclosure Order Really Means, Matt Tones investigates what the September 2026 UAP disclosure order actually changes, why it specifically addresses nondisclosure agreements and Special Access Program Indoctrination Agreements, and whether this could finally open a pathway for insiders with firsthand knowledge of classified UFO or UAP programs to come forward. This episode examines the new PURSUE disclosure process, its connection to existing UAP whistleblower protections, AARO’s reporting mechanism, David Grusch’s 2023 congressional testimony and allegations involving crash retrieval and reverse-engineering programs. Crucially, the waiver does not publicly declassify UAP information or give personnel permission to reveal classified material to journalists or podcasts. Instead, it creates an authorised government channel for protected disclosures—raising a much bigger question: if firsthand witnesses to secret UAP programs really exist, what happens when they finally use it? Pentagon Waives UAP NDA's: What the New PURSUE Disclosure Order Really Means

In 1954, Australia’s Foreign Minister Richard Casey was quietly seeking answers about flying saucers through official government channels. Inside National Archives file M1148 — Flying Saucers 1954 to 1955, one line changes the significance of the story: “Dictated over telephone by Mr. Brookes on 23/2/1954.” Alfred Deakin Brookes was then leading the Australian Secret Service, the organisation that would soon become ASIS. In Episode 80 of UFO to UAP Explained, we investigate how Australia’s founding foreign-intelligence chief became involved in passing information between Casey and Britain’s Directorate of Scientific Intelligence—and why that archival connection matters. The investigation then jumps forward almost seventy years to the modern UAP era, where Australian Defence has confirmed receiving classified analysis from the United States while participating in Five Eyes discussions about unidentified anomalous phenomena. The episode separates what the evidence proves from what remains unknown: there is no public evidence of a dedicated ASIS UFO program, but there is a documented historical intelligence connection and a modern Australian role in allied UAP information sharing. The question is no longer simply whether Australian intelligence ever encountered the UFO issue—it is how much of that intelligence history remains outside the public record. ASIS and the UFO Question: Australia's Secret Intelligence Link to Flying Saucers

Long before UFOs, UAP or modern astronomy, cultures around the world were already looking to the sky for knowledge, origins and meaning. In Episode 79 of UFO to UAP Explained, Matt Tones investigates The Hidden Histories: Indigenous Knowledge and UFO Encounters — from Aboriginal Australian sky knowledge, Baiame and the Wandjina, to Wurdi Youang’s possible solar alignments, Lakota traditions of star beings and Fallen Star, and the controversial Dogon claims surrounding Sirius B. Rather than forcing ancient traditions into a modern extraterrestrial framework, this episode asks what these cultures actually said, what the evidence supports, and where later UFO interpretations may have rewritten the story. Could stories of beings descending from the sky preserve memories of genuine anomalous encounters — or are we seeing spirituality, astronomy, oral history and modern expectations collide? We examine Indigenous astronomical knowledge, sacred geography, songlines, “Star People” traditions, the Dogon Sirius controversy, colonial distortion of oral knowledge, and whether traditional observation can contribute meaningfully to modern UAP research. The conclusion is more complex than “ancient aliens”: Indigenous knowledge does not need extraterrestrials to be extraordinary. THE SCIENCE OF UAP: What Academic Research Actually Reveals asks a simple question: what happens when UFOs stop being a belief debate and become a measurement problem? In Episode 78 of UFO to UAP Explained, Matt Tones follows the scientific trail from the Condon Report and decades of academic stigma to NASA’s modern UAP framework, the Galileo Project, UAPx field experiments and the growing use of calibrated multi-sensor observatories. The episode also examines atmospheric effects that can mimic extraordinary objects—including temperature inversions, mirages, light pillars, sprites, blue jets and other transient luminous events—and asks how researchers separate strange natural phenomena from aircraft, satellites, sensor artefacts and genuinely anomalous observations. The investigation culminates in the Palomar photographic-plate controversy: pre-Sputnik transient objects, reported statistical links to nuclear tests and historical UFO reports, and the subsequent academic challenge to those findings. We also examine Hessdalen as a case where unusual luminous phenomena have been repeatedly instrumented without producing a single universally accepted explanation. The conclusion is deliberately evidence-first: no peer-reviewed study has established that UAP are extraterrestrial or non-human technology, but academic research is finally building the instruments, datasets and methods required to determine what survives serious scientific scrutiny. The Science of UAP: What Academic UFO Research Actually Reveals

China’s UFO history is far older, broader and more complicated than most Western accounts suggest. In Episode 77 of UFO to UAP Explained, Matt Tones investigates the hidden history of UFO sightings in China, from ancient astronomical records and Chinese newspaper coverage of the 1947 flying-saucer wave to the extraordinary UFO boom that followed the People’s Daily article “UFO — An Unresolved World Mystery” in November 1978. We trace the creation of China’s first major civilian UFO research organisation at Wuhan University, the nationwide 24 July 1981 luminous spiral sighting, the mysterious 1994 Guiyang “Flying Train” incident, and the 2010 unidentified object that temporarily shut down Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport. The story then moves inside modern Chinese air defence. This episode separates documented Chinese UFO history from speculation about extraterrestrial technology and asks why China may represent one of the biggest missing datasets in the global UAP mystery. UAP disclosure could transform more than our understanding of the skies — it could challenge our understanding of reality itself. In Episode 76 of UFO to UAP Explained, Matt Tones investigates the psychology of UFO belief, UAP stigma and ontological shock: the profound disruption that could occur if credible evidence forced humanity to reconsider what exists, what is possible and whether we are alone. From cognitive dissonance and worldview disruption to religious belief, scepticism and the experiences of UFO witnesses, this episode asks what actually happens to the human mind when the impossible becomes possible. Could confirmation of non-human intelligence trigger mass panic, or would most people simply adapt? We examine NASA's efforts to reduce stigma around UAP reporting, emerging psychological research into reactions to disclosure, the potential consequences of government secrecy and institutional betrayal, and new calls for psychological preparedness if future UAP revelations become increasingly significant. Crucially, this episode does not assume that UAP represent extraterrestrial or non-human intelligence — it explores what established psychology and emerging research can tell us about how individuals and societies might respond if extraordinary evidence ever arrives. France's UFO Files - The Government Agency That Never Stopped Investigating UAP

Official U.S. and Australian Defence documents reveal that Five Eyes partners formally discussed UAP intelligence sharing, including classified reporting channels, shared sensor databases and joint collection planning. In this UFO to UAP Explained News Special, we examine the May 2023 Five Eyes UAP Caucus Working Group at the Pentagon, where Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom and New Zealand joined U.S. officials to discuss unidentified anomalous phenomena, detection, identification and future collaboration. The released AARO records show UAP had moved beyond public UFO discussion and into the intelligence architecture of one of the world’s most important security alliances. The Australian documents add an even more significant development: the United States military released classified UAP analysis to Australian Defence, while Australia’s Air Commander prepared a classified assessment of relevant RAAF capabilities. Defence later confirmed that an Australian representative attended the Five Eyes forum—even as Australia continues to operate without a dedicated UAP reporting protocol. What was contained in the classified U.S. analysis, what intelligence is being exchanged between Five Eyes partners, and why does Australia still have no transparent national UAP framework? Five Eyes UAP Intelligence Network Revealed: Australia Received Classified US UFO Analysis

Australia once operated a formal government system for investigating UFOs and unusual aerial sightings. In Episode 3 of the International UAP Sightings mini-series, UFO to UAP Explained investigates the Royal Australian Air Force files, the 35-part archive of “Reports on Flying Saucers and Other Aerial Objects,” intelligence and civil aviation involvement, and unexplained activity around sensitive locations including Woomera and Maralinga. The episode examines how the RAAF assessed sightings, why some cases remained unidentified, and what Australia’s National Archives reveal about decades of official government interest in UFOs. The investigation then moves into the modern UAP era: why Australia abandoned its dedicated reporting system, what Defence now says about unidentified anomalous phenomena, Australia’s involvement in Five Eyes UAP discussions, and how recent pilot reports can become buried inside aviation databases. ATSB records include a 2022 Boeing 737 encounter near Sydney involving an unidentified object and a 2024 Moorabbin report involving another unidentified object during initial climb—raising an important question: did Australia stop encountering unexplained objects, or did it simply stop maintaining a system designed to identify them? James Lacatski: Inside the Pentagon’s Secret UFO Program investigates the former Defense Intelligence Agency scientist who helped create and manage AAWSAP — the Advanced Aerospace Weapon System Applications Program, one of the most significant acknowledged US government programs connected to UFO and UAP research. We examine the Pentagon’s approximately $22 million effort, Robert Bigelow and BAASS, Skinwalker Ranch, exotic aerospace studies, biological effects, Harry Reid’s attempt to secure Special Access Program protections, and the disputed relationship between AAWSAP and KONA BLUE. Official DIA records confirm that AAWSAP investigated unconventional and revolutionary aerospace technologies and produced 26 technical papers during its early phase. At the centre of the episode is Lacatski’s extraordinary claim that the United States possesses a craft of unknown origin whose interior had been accessed. What did Lacatski actually know, and did he personally see or enter the craft? We examine what Department of Defense prepublication clearance really means, why it should not be confused with official authentication, and why AARO’s historical investigation reaches a very different conclusion. AARO says KONA BLUE was proposed as a successor capable of analysing recovered anomalous technology but was never fully approved, funded or provided with material, while its broader historical review says it found no verified evidence of extraterrestrial technology or a confirmed reverse-engineering program. Project Rubik’s Cube has become one of the most intriguing new allegations in the UAP disclosure story. Former U.S. Air Force intelligence specialist and congressional whistleblower Dylan Borland has repeatedly indicated that some questions can only be answered inside a SCIF—and after journalist Jeremy Corbell publicly asked whether Borland testified about an alleged program called Project Rubik’s Cube, Borland refused to confirm or deny it outside a secure setting. The mystery deepened when Borland later appeared with Jesse Michels wearing a Rubik’s Cube T-shirt, a striking piece of visual signalling that keeps the alleged program firmly in the spotlight. This episode examines what Borland has said under oath, what Corbell claims his intelligence sources revealed, the alleged links to recovered UAP technology, and why the difference between implication, testimony and evidence matters. What if The Book of Enoch is more than ancient religious mythology? In this episode of UFO to UAP Explained, we investigate Book One — The Book of the Watchers, 1 Enoch 1–36 — where non-human beings descend from the heavens, interact with humanity, produce hybrid offspring and reveal forbidden knowledge that changes civilisation. Ancient Aramaic fragments of Enoch recovered among the Dead Sea Scrolls confirm that this extraordinary tradition circulated more than two thousand years ago, while scholarship identifies the Watchers narrative as an ancient expansion of Genesis 6 involving heavenly rebellion, giants and the transmission of prohibited knowledge. Could the Watchers represent an ancient interpretation of non-human intelligence, or does Enoch point toward something deeper — a universe in which physical and spiritual reality overlap, consciousness is fundamental, and technological power can advance faster than wisdom? We examine angels versus aliens, the Nephilim, forbidden knowledge, ancient contact, UAP consciousness and why texts such as Enoch are attracting renewed interest within the modern disclosure conversation. Dylan Borland appeared as a UAP witness and U.S. Air Force veteran at the September 9, 2025 congressional UAP hearing, providing the contemporary disclosure context explored in the episode.
