Your Healing Playground - Dr. Tina Koopersmith  CHOICE: Who's Leading Your Life—Your Heart, Your Fear, or Your Inner Judge? Election Week Special | Your Healing Playground with Dr. Tina Koopersmith It's election week in America, and we're all talking about CHOICE. But here's a question: Who is leading YOUR life? Your heart? Your values? Your curiosity? Or your fears, your inner judge, and the expectations of others? Every day, we cast votes—not just at the ballot box, but through the choices we make about our health, our relationships, our energy, and our environment. What we eat, how we hydrate, when we move or rest, who we surround ourselves with, and how we make time for joy, pleasure, and play all help shape our well-being. And elections? They're about the health of our communities. The leaders we choose influence our access to healthcare, education, clean air and water, safety, opportunity, and the future we leave for our children. Are we choosing leaders based on their words or their actions? Their competence and character? One issue or the many values we hold dear? Are we thinking only about ourselves—or also about those whose voices may not be heard? In this week's solo episode of Your Healing Playground, Dr. Tina explores her CHOICE framework—Change, Heart, Observe, Inside, Compassion, and Energy—and invites us to look at how we make decisions, whom we trust, and what kind of world we're helping create. Because our health and our community's health are interconnected. We don't live in isolation. We are part of a living, breathing ecosystem, and our choices ripple outward. We cannot control every circumstance, but we can choose to become more conscious participants in our own lives and our communities. So this election week, get curious. Get educated. Listen to your heart. Observe actions, not just words. And remember: Vote your values. Live your values. Choose with love. 5 Key Takeaways Every choice you make, from voting and spending to caring for your body, helps shape both your personal life and the wider community. Genuine leadership requires more than confidence, so look for evidence of competence, compassion, curiosity, and service in both yourself and others. Formal education is only one source of wisdom, as lived experience, reflection, intuition, and learning from past choices also strengthen your ability to decide well. Pausing to notice whether fear, old family patterns, your inner critic, or your wiser self is guiding you allows unconscious habits to become conscious choices. Emotions can become catalysts for positive change when you feel them, learn from them, release what no longer serves you, and act from your values.
