Illuminate Your Worth with Heather Stewart  In this episode of Illuminate Your Worth, Heather Stewart explores the uncomfortable gap between what we say we want and what we actually do. Maybe you say you want more peace, but keep filling every open space in your calendar. You say your needs matter, but you’re still the first person you disappoint when someone else needs something. You say you’re ready for change, then find yourself making the same familiar choice again. Sound a little too familiar? It’s tempting to call this a lack of discipline. But our actions often make sense when we look at what they’ve been protecting. Being needed, keeping the peace, avoiding disappointment, or staying with a version of ourselves that once felt safe can all pull us away from the values we genuinely hold. Heather invites you to get curious about that gap without turning it into another reason to judge yourself. Where are your choices reflecting what matters to you? Where are they reflecting an old rule you may have outgrown? And what small, honest action could help you begin living a little more like the person you say you want to be? If you’ve been wondering why you know what you want but keep living on autopilot, this conversation is an invitation to notice the pattern and begin rebuilding trust with yourself, one choice at a time. 5 Key Takeaways Toxic positivity uses positivity as a hiding place. It can look optimistic from the outside while difficult emotions, stress, and unresolved issues remain unaddressed underneath.  Real hope combines positivity with action. Believing something can improve is different from saying everything will work out while ignoring what needs to be done.  Ignoring stress does not make it disappear. Saying “I’m fine” while avoiding problems can leave the nervous system overwhelmed and contribute to exhaustion and burnout.  Allow yourself to feel what happened before reframing it. Acknowledging disappointment, anger, frustration, or sadness creates an opportunity to learn from the experience and decide what to do differently.  Real hope requires presence, not denial. It acknowledges what is difficult while still believing something different is possible and choosing actions that can create change.
